Alana L. 3G (surprised God saves anyone)

This series  is  loosely   based on this 14-minute video from Alana L.:   5 Signs Your Loved One is Becoming a Calvinist   Point #3:   G.  Alana talked about how Calvinists claim to be "surprised" (happy, thrilled, thankful) that God has enough grace to save anyone at all, because we're all so bad and deserve hell. You'll hear this over and over again in Calvinism, such as these quotes from my Calvinist ex-pastor: ... From his October 12, 2014 sermon:  " After thousands of years of [human] rebellion, that God would be willing to elect  any  rebellious sinner to eternal life shows tremendous love and grace and mercy." ... Fending Off Calvinism

[Slipping this in-between the Alana L series.  This is the second half of this post from my other blog:  Calvinism's Systematic Theology (and how to fend it off) .] How to fend off Calvinism's Systematic Theology Alternative title: "Destroying Calvinism in 28 Easy Steps" [Of course, I don't really think that there's anything truly easy about debating or destroying Calvinism.   It's such a tangled web of errors, with a cult-like vice-grip on people's minds, that it can't be defeated with just a few verses or rebuttals.   Its errors are so complex, interconnected, and deep-rooted that it needs to be completely dismantled idea by idea, wrong definition by wrong definition, misinterpreted verse by misinterpreted verse, false dichotomy by false dichotomy, etc.  And this takes lots of time and patience, with grace, compassion, and respect for the struggling Calvinist.  It took lots of time and effort for them to get sucked into Calvinism (see "The 9...
